All American tops Golden Gate stakes schedule
ALBANY, Calif. â Seven stakes races, highlighted by the Grade 3 All American, will be offered at Golden Gate Fieldsâ fall meet beginning Oct. 20. The $100,000 All American is scheduled for Friday, Nov. 26. The race for 3-year-olds and up is carded at 1 1/8 miles.

Jockey paralyzed in fall at Golden Gate Fields
The San Francisco Chronicle is reporting a 24-year-old jockey has been paralyzed from the waist down following a fall during a race at a Northern California track. Golden Gate Fields track physician David Seftel tells the newspaper that jockey Michael Martinez remained in critical, but stable condition Tuesday at an Oakland hospital.

Sunday Autocross Event hosted by SCCA at Golden Gate Fields. I think this gives a good representation of what a day at autoX would be like. The turn out was not the biggest but there were a good selection of cars and everybody had a good time. Film is a practice/test for the Canon T1i Rebel DSLR Camera. Shot with the 18-55 lens that came with the camera. A lens with greater range would have been much more useful for shooting at this type of event.

Third race jockeys were taking the horses out on to the track and the 11 horse was ready to race. Even without the jockey! He kicked him off. The jockey jumped to his feet and the crowd roared!
