Governor Announces Ten Public Discussions at Delaware Schools: How together we can prepare Delaware students for tomorrow's job market Governor Markell announced that he, along with Delaware Secretary of Education Lillian Lowery and others will hit the road between now and the end of the year for ten public "Conversations about Stronger Schools." The schedule of the conversations can be found here: governor.delaware.gov These "Conversations" will focus on efforts underway to improve student performance, support teachers and make sure Delaware's children graduate ready to succeed in work or college. The Governor, Education Secretary, educators, administrators and private sector employers will talk about a path to stronger schools and give Delawareans an opportunity to ask questions and engage on elements of the plan. On Monday, Delaware will be represented at the Education Nation summit in New York City, which highlights best practices in public education from around the world.
